Prodromos Zanis is Professor of Meteorology and Climatology at the School of Geology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He has more than 20 years of experience in basic and applied research on atmospheric physics and chemistry with emphasis on ozone, aerosols, air pollution, chemistry-climate interactions, regional climate change, air quality and regional climate modelling. He has more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed scientific international journals with more than 2500 third-party citations and an H-factor of 35. He is currently Lead Author in Chapter 6 of WG I AR6 of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
