Phoebe Koundouri

Phoebe Koundouri (PhD University of Cambridge) is a Professor at the School of Economics and the Scientific Director of the Research Laboratory ReSEES (Research on Socio-Economic and Environmental Sustainability) at the Athens University of Economics and Business. She is also a Professor at the Department of Technology, Management and Economics at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), as well as the Director of the Sustainable Development Unit (SDU) at the ATHENA Research and Innovation Center. Phoebe Koundouri is also President of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE), President of the SDSN Global Climate Hub, Co-President of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network for Europe (UN SDSN Europe) and Greece (UN SDSN Greece), and finally President of the Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Αephoria (AE4RIA). Phoebe Koundouri is among the top 2% of scientists with the most citations according to the official list by Stanford University and has received research funding from the European Research Council (ERC). She is a member of the Nobel Prize nomination committee for Economics as well as an elected member of Academia Europae, and the World Academy of Arts and Sciences (WAAS).
