Ioanna Soufleri

Dr Ioanna A. Soufleri is the editor in chief of “To Vima Science”; science supplement of the newspaper “To Vima”. She studied biology at the National and Kapodestrian University of Athens, got a Master’s Degree in Plant Biotechnology from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, and a PhD in Plant Molecular Biology from the University Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris. In 1997, she became a full-time science journalist, and “To Vima” became the first ever Greek newspaper to have an in-house science journalist. She regards science journalism as a form of continuous education (for both the readers and the journalist!), and that suits her perfectly.
