Fenia Chala

Fenia Chala was born in 1986 and is based in Athens. She has been working as a journalist since 2007. In the past ten years, as a freelancer-fixer, she has collaborated with major international media outlets, including Le Monde, Arte, Deutsche Welle, Puls 4, ORF and Telesur, covering the Greek financial and humanitarian crisis, as well as the refugee crisis. She has worked for two years for the Greek Public Broadcaster (ERT), more specifically for the documentary series “27 of Europe”. In the years that followed, she worked as a production coordinator in various production houses, with the most recent one being her 3-year co-operation with SmallPlanet Productions.
