Darren Lilleker

Dr Darren G. Lilleker is Professor of Political Communication in the Faculty of Media and Communication at Bournemouth University, in the UK, as well as Convenor of the Centre for Politics and Media Research. Dr Lilleker’s expertise is in the intersecting areas of political campaigning and the public's engagement in politics and particularly how the latter can be potentiated and facilitated by technological developments. Another key interest of his lies in how people experience politics and how they can be disaffected by their experience. He has written on this topic in the books "Political Communication and Cognition" (Palgrave, 2014) and in "The Psychology of Democracy" (Routledge, 2021).
