Christos Zerefos

Christos Zerefos is a professor of Atmospheric and Environmental Physics at the Universities of Athens and Thessaloniki, an Honorary Doctor at the University of Patras and a Visiting Professor at the Universities of Boston, Minnesota and Oslo. He is a member of the Academy of Athens, Academia Europaea and the Norwegian Academy among others. He has received a number of internationally recognized awards including the Global Ozone Award, from the UN Envrionmental Programme (UNEP), the Order of Honour from the President of the Hellenic Republic as well as distinctions from the American Geophysical Union, the European Academy of Sciences, and others. Christos Zerefos has created from scratch 8 recognized educational and research institutions and has published more than 200 research papers.
