Anna Oakes

Anna Oakes is a freelance journalist, podcast producer, and graduate student at Columbia Journalism School. She was born in New York City, where she reports on immigration, social movements, and the environment. She covered the student protests at Columbia University for outlets including Rolling Stone, The Nation, and Univision. Anna is currently a producer for the Berman Institute of Bioethics at Johns Hopkins University, where she is working on podcasts on medical ethics in conflict zones, and public health and data privacy.
